Find Out The Best Website Host - The Truth
When it comes to web hosting there is allot of fluff being thrown around. Most of the fluff is complete and utter lies. For example the unlimited web space and bandwidth. That my friends is nothing more then a fabrication to try and reel the uninformed in. Trust me if you were to look in the hosting companies terms you will come across some limit to the bandwidth and disk space, in most cases any way.
Most people when looking for there first web host usually have unlimited something as a want even though it may be a lie. Depending who you go too to get your shared hosting service the uptime may depend on the type of host you selected and what type of website your choosing to run. Whether it be a static website (Just html and css) or dynamic (php and mysql). Dynamic is the most popular and Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress are amongst the most popular providers of CMS (content management systems).
The thing is if your running a static website then you are less likely to have much downtime because HTML doesn’t strain the server like PHP does. That’s where having a dynamic website on a shared host becomes a nightmare. Problems such as slowness, hanging and errors can occur with dynamic web pages, even if you don’t get much traffic this will happen.
In most cases shared hosting is pretty cheap because they provide more or less a trickle of RAM and CPU to power your website hence the reason of the slowness. Plus your sharing your server with hundreds of other users who could be packing a RAM/CPU hungry website.
Bottom line is if your choosing shared hosting try and stick with static pages and leave the dynamic pages to a VPS which is in my opinion, better value for money depending where you get it. If your looking for the best shared hosting that may be able to cope with dynamic pages then look at be domains shared hosting plans. If a Vps is your game then try their VPS hosting plans.
Be domain is part of a bigger trusted web hosting network and I have a VPS with the main provider of the group, and it is going very well. I got 512mb of ram and great CPU usage for just $19 a month, which is good value and most of all trustworthy. Managing a Vps isn’t as hard as they say, if your serious about your website and you want a great host at a cheap enough price then buy a VPS and mess around with it. Google is your friend when it comes to tutorials or info on SSH commands and webmin. So far I have chosen a Debian LAMP setup. In fact the VPS I got from the be domain group provider was my first and you will be amazed at how easy it is to run once you break the ice good luck.
